*** VISION ALERT*** FRNSW teams provide internet access and aerial assessments of affected communities in Northern NSW -

Published: 10 Mar 2025 04:56pm

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) teams deployed in the state’s north continue to support the SES-led emergency response to Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred.

FRNSW has deployed a Cell on Wheels (CoW) to Clarence Valley, supporting the State Emergency Service (SES) operations centre.

The CoW provides internet and Wi-Fi to the location, ensuring connectivity and power for the ongoing SES emergency operations.

FRNSW operations continue with Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) or drones carrying out aerial assessments and checking water levels on roads and levees in the area.

Overnight, water rescue teams remained on standby, clearing roads of fallen trees and debris.

The NSW SES is advising people to download the Hazards Near Me App which will include the latest warnings and information for impacted communities.

For assistance during floods and storms call the NSW SES on 132 500 or Triple Zero (000) for life threatening emergencies.

Visit www.ses.nsw.gov.au for the latest warnings and information.
