Open Data

This web page has been established by Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) in keeping with the NSW Government Policy on Open Data [external link], which states:

The objectives of this policy are to assist NSW Government agencies to:

  • release data for use by the community, research, business and industry
  • embed open data into business-as-usual
  • use data to inform the design of policy, programs and procurement
  • advance citizen engagement with government
  • support the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (NSW) (GIPA Act [external link]) and promote compliance with its requirements.

Datasets will be added to this page and updated for public access and use, enhancing the range of outputs published in FRNSW official reporting. Official reporting for FRNSW will continue to occur through the Fire and Rescue NSW Annual Report and The Report on Government Services [external link].

The annual Report on Government Services (RoGS) provides information on the equity, effectiveness and efficiency of government services in Australia. The RoGS is progressively released between January and February each year. The Emergency services for fire events chapter reports performance information for emergency services for fire events.
